Q: What is tallow, and why do you use it in your products?

A: Tallow is a nutrient-rich, rendered form of beef fat that closely mimics the skin’s natural oils. We use grass-fed, high-quality tallow because it deeply moisturizes, nourishes, and supports the skin’s barrier without clogging pores or causing irritation.

Q: Is tallow safe for sensitive skin, babies, and pregnant/breastfeeding women?

A: Yes! Our tallow is non-toxic, all-natural, and each additional ingredient is carefully chosen, with the safety of all family members in mind. It’s ideal for the most sensitive skin — including newborns and expecting mamas.

Q: Where do you source your tallow and other ingredients?

A: We source our tallow locally in the U.S. from a carefully chosen farm that aligns with our values of quality, sustainability, and integrity. Many of our other ingredients are also locally sourced—some right here in Texas—while specialty ingredients, like our lavender, are sourced from their country of origin to ensure the highest purity and potency.

Q: What makes your Mommy & Me collection special?

A: Our Mommy & Me line was created straight from my heart—and inspired by the most personal parts of my journey: pregnancy, motherhood, and the sweet (and sometimes wild!) moments of raising my girls. These products were created with my own babies in mind, using only the gentlest, most nourishing ingredients.

Pregnancy, childhood, and those early days of motherhood are such sacred seasons—they don’t last forever, which is why I wanted to make something truly special for this time. Every product in this collection is thoughtfully crafted, with extra care and love, to support mamas and littles during these beautiful, fleeting years.

Q: How should I store my tallow balm or whip?

A: It is best to keep it in a cool, dry place, away from direct sunlight. Since we don’t use artificial preservatives, heat may cause melting or separation — but that is normal, and it does not affect quality.

Q: What is the shelf life of your products?

A: Most of our products last 6 to 12+ months with proper storage. If the scent, color, or texture changes drastically, it may be time to replace it. 

Q: Can I use your body balm on my face?

A: Yes! Our formulas are gentle enough to use on both the face and body—especially for dry, sensitive, irritated, or aging skin. That said, each product is thoughtfully crafted with specific skin goals in mind. While they can be used interchangeably, our Tallow Face Butters are formulated to support facial concerns like fine lines, wrinkles, and redness, while our Tallow Body Butters are richer and focused on deep hydration. As always, start with a small amount—a little truly goes a long way!

Q: Do you make everything yourself?

A: Yes, I do! Every product you purchase from TX Body Blooms is handcrafted by me—from formulating and pouring, to labeling and packaging. I genuinely love the creative process—whether it’s designing labels, experimenting with new scent combinations, or researching the most effective essential oils, herbs, and flowers to make each product with. Every step is done with love, care, and intention to create something I’m proud to use on my own family—and honored to share with yours.

Q: Do you offer shipping?

A: Yes! We ship anywhere in the U.S via UPS or USPS.

Q: Do you ship during the summer?

A: We do! However, due to high summer temperatures, we recommend stocking up before the summer months. We take extra packing precautions in warmer months, which will increase shipping costs.

Q: What happens if my tallow melts during shipping?

A: Don’t worry! This doesn’t affect the quality or effectiveness of the product. If your tallow has melted, just place it in the fridge for about 30-60 minutes to help it firm back up. The texture may change (it might look a little less fluffy), but it’s still perfectly safe and just as nourishing for your skin. To help prevent this, we recommend bringing your package indoors as soon as it’s delivered and storing your tallow in a cool, dry place. 

Q: Will I get a refund if my tallow melts during summer shipping? 

A: We do not offer refunds or replacements for melting, as it is a natural and expected reaction in high heat/summer months. By purchasing during the warmer months, you acknowledge and accept this risk. Thank you for your understanding!
